4. Requirements for the composition of Food supplement

4.1. The biologically active ingredients and nutritional components approved by the Ministry and compliant with the list provided for in subsection 3.10.1 of this Regulation should be used in the food supplement.

4.2. The components used in the preparation of the food supplement should not have any adverse effects on human life or health.

4.3. It is forbidden to use genetically modified products, nanomaterials, hormones, pesticides, drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, strongly influencing toxic substances and doping agents identified by the current list of International Anti-Doping Agency in the production of food supplement.

4.4. It is permitted to include vitamins and minerals into the food supplement in the form and dosage forms approved by the Ministry and specified in sub-clause 3.10.2 of this Regulation.

4.5. The amount of vitamins and minerals included in the food supplement intended for children between the ages of 4 and 14 must be 50 per cent of the limits specified by the Ministry and approved by the Ministry 3.10.2 of this Regulation.

4.6. The contents of the food supplement and the medicines may not be the same or the dosage of the components of this product exceeding its allowed use.

4.7. It should be taken into account that, in accordance with paragraphs 4.1 to 4.6 of this Regulation, the following features should be taken into account in the food supplement that differentiates it from food products and medicines:

4.7.1. It is intended to protect the normal physiological functions of the human body and to provide a normal human physiological rhizome;

4.7.2. Lack of therapeutic effect of food supplement ;

4.7.3. The absence of a serious side effect of the food supplement.
